Ballet is the foundation for all forms of dance. It is essential to the development of poise, grace, balance and discipline required to become an excellent dancer. Our beginner ballet classes meet once a week for 45 minutes, intermediate ballet classes meet twice a week for 1 hour, and our advance ballet classes meet twice a week for 1.5 hours.
Pointe will be offered to students who show the strength and technical ability necessary to advance to this class. Students taking pointe classes must also be enrolled in a twice-weekly ballet class. Students will be placed in the pointe class at the teacher’s discretion.
Tap focuses on rhythm and musicality. Tap class teaches coordination and proper tap technique through barre work and center and across the floor combinations. This class is a favorite for dancers of all ages.
Based on ballet and folk dancing, jazz is a stylized theatrical kind of dancing. This high energy class improves coordination, flexibility, stamina, and musicality. Current pop music and classic favorites add to the fun atmosphere of jazz class.
Hip-Hop is a freestyle, dynamic type of dance. Started by street dancers this style of dance is fun, fast paced, and a great cardio workout.
Combo Classes are specifically designed for pre-school students ages 3-5 years. This 45 minute class introduces young dancers to the basics of pre-ballet, tap, and creative movement.
Pre-Ballet Classes are specifically designed for pre-school students ages 3-5 years. This 45 minute class introduces students to basic ballet movement and terminology.
Contemporary classes combine ballet, modern, and jazz in a unique way to portray a feeling or tell a story. In this class, dancers learn to go beyond basic technique and perform choreography in such a way that their audience is taken on an emotional journey. For intermediate and advanced dancers this is a wonderful class to strengthen their technique and heighten their showmanship and quality of movement.
